When entering St Lucia traveling north from Durban, you will find the Estuary Chalets on your right hand side, just look out for the sign. The resort borders the Umfolozi River bank with a jetty and boat launching ramp. The garden is lush and green shaded by magnificent coconut bearing palm trees. Every chalet has its own private BBQ (braai) facility and access to the swimming pool.
The Surrounding Area:The Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park protects the largest population of Hippopotamus in the world. They also have an abundance of other wildlife including crocodiles (approximately 1,000). The Cane Cutter Estate boasts a delightful bird park with many tropical and native bird species just a short drive from St Lucia.
